One process we use here at New England Etching
to transfer an image, is offset lithography. In the first step of this
process the image is transferred from the master printing plate to the blanket of the
printing press, using specially formulated inks. The image that is now
on the blanket of the press is then transferred onto the final material. This method of
transfer is very accurate and of high quality.
Another alternative to lithography is screen
printing. The advantage to this process is that a thick ink coat can be applied.
